OUTFIT: Black and white combination

fashionmoodboard black white
Black and white is one of my most favorite color combinations. Yes, it's pretty easy to style! To make it a bit more interesting I decided to combine my leather skorts with a knitted breton sweater. To add just a little bit of color I am wearing my favorite necklace from House of Lou, it's so pretty! <3 My hair looks kind of really messy by the way, for which I apologize. Since I cut it into a bob just before newyears eve I have a kind of in-between length at this moment and I don't really like this stage. Have to admit that I'm really missing my longer hair. I'm also still in doubt wheter to dye it a bit more blonde/highlights or to make it darker again. I'm having a bit of grey hair at the top of my head so making it darker makes it more visible, eeek! Any tips?

Leather skorts - Primark (Love these)

RECEPT: Healthy granola

healthy granola
Lately I am much more into healthy food and I'm also reading alot of books about healthy food as well, my favorite is Powerfood by Rens Kroes, she has the best recipes! The boy and I tried to make our own healthy granola in order to bring some variety in our standard breakfast menu. This granola recipe is delicious with all sorts of yoghurt (or soja products) and is superhealthy AND easy.

Why making your own granola
It's not only way cheaper than buying healthy muesli or cruesli in the supermarkets, it also makes your home smell absolutely delicious! You know what kind of ingredients you have used which gives you a better feeling (at least, it gives ME a better feeling, knowing what's inside). Besides that, it's so simple, you hardly can't do anything wrong!

OUTFIT: How to style vintage levi's 501 shorts

fashionmoodboard levis shorts
Meet my all time favorite shorts; the vintage levi's 501. Once found in the thriftstore, nowadays one of my most favorite items in my closet. Perfect for summer and winter since they also still look cute when you wear them with tights. Anyway, since I'm getting a bit older (I'm 25, turning 26 next month, ay!), I decided to try and make this look a little bit more chique and classy. Therefor I'm wearing a cute white blouse and a long blazer from Primark. Topped it of with some h&m booties and I'm good to go! Do you like the outfit?

Blouse - Primark

As most of you know I'm really into the thriftstore! I have found amazing items over the past few years and this blazer plus the blouse were also amazing finds! Gotta love shopping on a budget, right? Anyway, when cycling on one of our days off to Amelisweerd we found this amazing spot for the outfit photos. Too bad there were so many flies in the air! You can even see them popping up on the pictures, I hope you don't mind!

Outfit: Simply denim

fashionmoodboard shalane
When I have my days off, the boy and I like to go out of the citycenter and enjoy a little bit of nature and walking. Being active is definitely high on our priority list and therefor we like to go to amazing places such as 'Castle Groeneveld' located in Baarn. This is the perfect spot for outfit photographs. Not only is it very peaceful and quiet, it's beautiful too! Eventhough I still feel a bit awkward when shooting, it makes it alot easier when nobody is looking.

Since it's still a bit cold I opted for a simple black/white and denim combination. The jacket, which is a vintage levi's one, was a great find in the thriftstore. You can't believe the items I find every now and then, it makes me feel so happy! I bought it for 4 euro's, which is a total bargain. The skinnyjeans were gifted to me by Cheap Monday and the sweater is from h&m. Hope you enjoy my outfit :)

Hi you guys! I am definitely enjoying all the little moments of sunshine nowadays! Since I'm flying 80% (parttime) I have a lot more time to spend at home. Which is kind of really awesome, since I am also really busy with the blog nowadays. It's kind of hard work, but it definitely pays off! Not only am I active here on blogspot but I am also really into instagram at this moment. Are you already following me? You can find me over here @flyingfashionblogger.

You have probably already seen my aztec bohemian shorts before. I already wore them over here in wintertime and also in summertime. I got them in sale last year and I'm madly in love with them. So colorful and bright! Perfect for winter and summertime! Hope you enjoy my outfit :)

FRIDAY 5: Favorite Perfumes

\friday five
A brand new subject here on The Fashion Moodboard: "Friday Five". Every friday I will talk about a specific subject and name five things that I either hate or love. And for today I decided to talk about my favorite perfumes. As a flight attendant I'm able to buy perfume kind of cheap. Besides that I'm a very frequent traveler too, so I do buy alot at the airports tax free. Hope you enjoy my perfume collection and please let me know your favorites!

1. J'adore from Dior
My al time favorite, J'adore from Dior. I got this bottle as a gift from my boyfriend. He bought it for me during our flight from Bangkok to Amsterdam, just a few months ago. I love the fresh but chique smell. I always wear it when I have a special occasion or go out with my love.

2. Chance, Eau Tendre from Chanel
This one is perfect for daily use. I also own the normal version from Chance by Chanel, but that one is very heavy. I prefer this one, Eau Tendre, which is subtle and makes me feel very pretty.

3. Jimmy Choo eau de parfum
Also perfect for daily use! This is a super fresh, fruity scent which is affordable too! I bought it for myself at the airport last year and I still love it. Since it's not too strong and heavy I prefer to wear it during my work as a flight attendant.

4. La Vie Est Belle by Lancome
Which girl doesn't love a floral scent? This new perfume from Lancome is very chique and classy and I absolutely adore it! I like to wear it during special occasions too, since it's a bit heavy. I own the miniature version, which I got in a package from Lancome, also during one of my holiday flights.

5. Chanel Mademoiselle
When seeing Keira Knightley in the commercials, it makes me so happy that I own this perfume. Since it's very expensive, I had to save my money for this. But I can't be happier to own it. I only use it during special occasions since I don't want to spill anything. It's a warm scent and it makes me feel so chique, perfect for a night out!

Outfit: Spring has finally sprung!

Fashionmoodboard Bohemian lace dress spring
Finally, spring has sprung and I'm so very pleased! Since I'm basically always cold the upcoming spring means the release of thick wintercoats and gloves and bringing back more flowy dresses and jackets. The weather has been absolutely amazing these couple of days and it also meant the appearance of some pretty flowers nearby. I found this extremely cute and beautiful dress in the thriftstore and I'm madly in love with it. I combined it with a denim jacket and my fedora hat and so I'm ready for spring. Hope you enjoy my outfit :)

Outfit: The black duster coat

Since I have a similar version in camel, the black one was a must too. I just love my Kim Kardashian inspired duster coat. It's super easy to combine, very comfortable and perfect for the upcoming spring (it might be just a little bit cold right now). But when combined with sweaters it's all just perfect. You might have already seen this coat on me during my trip to Rome. Last week, during a stroll in the forest nearby, we shot these photos. This place is called 'Amelisweerd' and it's just 15 minutes by bike from the citycenter. We went by car since we had to make a quick stop at Ikea as well, gotta love the 1 euro breakfast and all the gardening equipment! Hope you enjoy this outfit :)

Outfit: Old fashioned mom jeans

old fashioned mom jeans
I kinda really like my slightly oversized mom jeans, which I found 6 months ago during the summer sale in Primark, Bristol. I wore it already quite a few times, you can see my summer outfit over here. So now it's time for a winter/spring kind of outfit with this old fashioned mom jeans, as I like to call them. I try to make it a little bit more chique by adding a nice blouse which I found in the thriftstore. The blazer makes it even more classy and the shoes are just too cute not to wear. What do you think of mom jeans? Would you wear them?

Outfit: City grunge

fashionmoodboard shalane
Oh you guys, it was freezing cold last week! The sun changed for some rain every 30 minutes which made it really difficult to shoot some proper outfit photos with our Canon 1000D. But we finally managed and here they are! Since it was so cold I'm not only wearing my favorite leather jacket but also a beautiful cape as well. But I can't help my nose from getting red, it was just bloody cold. And while this post will be online I'm on my so called 'reserve duty', at home, with the phone next to me. Waiting for crew scheduling to call me out for a flight. As a flight attendant I have reserve duty once every 6 to 8 weeks, which is just fine. Sometimes it gives you the opportunity to do some tasks which are otherwise not done.

I'm wearing
Jeans - Primark (Find it here)

The sunshine finally made it's appearance and that means: going outside! We grabbed our bicycles and cycled to Amelisweerd to enjoy every piece of sunshine we've missed the past couple of weeks. Since it was on a sunday it was super busy, but eventhough we enjoyed ourselves alot! I decided to wear my favorite breton top which I found in the thriftstore a while ago. And it was time to take out the beautiful pink coat again, which is from Boohoo! A couple of months ago I wore this coat with a watercolor flower sweater which you can find over here and another time I wore it with a basic white sweater and my favorite jeans, click here for that post.

Here she is, my new coat. I have to admit that I'm completely in love with it. I own a similar version in black as well, which you may have noticed in one of my Rome posts. TRAVEL: Rome

fashionmoodboard rome
Remember my citytrip to Rome part I? Maybe you've also already seen part II. So here it is, the final part, part III. We stayed for 3 nights in Rome and during our last day we decided to go inside the St. Peters chapel. The queue was really long but it turned out that the actual waiting in the line wasn't so bad. First things first so we climbed five hundred something steps all the way up to the St. Peters chapel. The view was absolutely breathtaking, just like all the steps going up, which was kind of a workout.

Afterwards we went inside the church which was absolutely amazing to see. Such a huge, beautiful church! After our visit we wandered around in the city for quite some time. We went up to the river, to a fountain and also back to the pantheon. We had the evening flight back to Amsterdam so we definitely made the most out of our last day in beautiful Rome. Hope you enjoy the photos!

All the photos were taken with our Canon 1000d with a 50mm f/1.8 lens. We also used our Samsung NX2000 camera, which did an amazing job during this holiday :)

Blazer - Primark (Similar version here)

Outfit: Leather and aztec

As you probably all know I'm really pleased with my gorgeous aztec bohemian bag from Lola Nomada. I like to refer to this bag as 'her' and I always take her with me on little trips. Today we went to the Soesterduinen near Utrecht for this outfit shoot. It turned out to be really good weather which was really helpful. While we usually take photos with the 50mm f/1.8 lens we also tried out our 55-250mm zoomlens, which was really helpfull too! I absolutely adore these two lenses for my camera, a Canon 1000d, they take the best outfit pictures!

For the outfit; I kinda like to wear blue tones every now and then. Since it matches my eyes, it's pretty easy and I just love it because it looks good with my blonde/brownish hair. The fake leather pants are probably the items which have been featured the most on my blog. The tunic or dress is a thriftstore find originally from Maison scotch which I got for only € 2,50 such a bargain! Hope you enjoy ;)

I'm wearing
Faux leather pants - H&M (Perfection option here / Affordable version here)
Blue/green tunic - Thrifted

Happy first of march everyone! In almost every outfit you see from my hand, you can find budget items or items from the thriftstore. This blue blazer -in almost the exact same color as my airline uniform- was another great item I found in the thriftstore a while ago. Since I also really love the sportychique style, I decided to combine the blazer with a grey shirt from Gina Tricot and my ripped skinnyjeans from Primark. The final touch are the white sneakers from H&M. Hope you like it :)
