Personal: Be right back

Dear all,

I'm taking some time off because of my heavy schedule lately. I want my blog to be professional and inspirational, and due to the lack of time it's not as it's supposed to be right now.

But when I'm taking off, I'll be making fun and interesting new things. So quality over quantity, be prepared for a new and refreshing blog! I'll start blogging again as from the 1st of september, so just a week and a half of your patience. In the mean time, please let me know what you think of the new layout.

I'm finally pleased with my new layout as it is right now. There's nothing I want to change, to me it's perfect. But what do you think?

xoxo Shalane

Outfit: My new bike

I not only have a new bike at my boyfriends house (it's his bike actually), but I recently bought a new/secondhand bike for my mum's place as well. It's a very old 'omafiets' from the brand Gazelle, which I bought secondhand.

These bikes (granny bikes/oma fiets) are so comfortable! You can sit upright and it's a very simple design but really good. So my mum and I tested it for a 10km drive in the countryside. Pretty perfect! I added a nice basket with some flowers, super girly but I love it!

And what do you think of my outfit? My super high waisted skinny jeans are from Monki. I found it in Kristiansand, Norway during the Monki sale. It was just 10 euro, super cheap! The breton shirt is from Zara, found it last week in Gothenburg during the sale as well. For 5 euro! Yeah, I'm an extreme cheapskate but who cares!

FLYING: Bologna

Bologna oh Bologna. Finally I'm back. I was already afraid that it would be a summer without Italy, but thank goodness Bologna was on my roster, with plenty of time to spend!

But it was sunday, during the summer holidays, and the city was basically empty. No market, no shops, nothing! But there was delicious food and beautiful buildings, so I hope you like the pictures :)

FLYING: Landshut

I haven't been to Landshut (Munich) for a long time, so it was great to be back! As a flight attendant, I'm always flying to different destinations in europe. And sometimes you fly to a destination a couple of times, and sometimes you won't see it on your roster for a couple of months. That's what makes it fun and interesting.

Landshut is just a small and cute german village in the middle of nowhere. They have a castle on top of the hill and by accident I ran into a 'tierpark' also known as a small zoo. So cute! The castle is surrounded by a forest, and while I was walking back to my hotel, I had eye to eye contact with Bambi! She (or he) ran away ofcourse, but I followed her and took some pictures. Ofcourse the pictures are not very good, but I hope you enjoy them :)

Have you already checked out my webshop Belmont Vintage? Besides that, if you find it interesting, you can also follow me via instagram (shalane89) and facebook.

Outfit: Vintage bike

My boyfriend and I live 1 hour away from eachother. He lives in a big city right in the middle of the Netherlands, 'Utrecht'. It's a pretty city but we both love to step out of the crowd and enjoy the nature. And so he bought an extra bike, which we pimped with a basket and some flowers. Easy to take food and drinks with us for the perfect picnick! Besides that, what do you think of the uber cool thing my boyfriend can do with his bike?

By the way, I also LOVE Instagram, be sure to check out my account shalane89 to see all the other photo's, also en route (I'm a flight attendant). Besides that, it would be pre-tty amazing if you could LIKE my facebook page. A kiss on the cheek if you help me! :)

Outfit: If you be my star, I'll be your sky

It was extremely windy last week, so it was a bit difficult to take outfit pictures. After 10 minutes we gave up, but some of the pictures turned out to be good enough to show on the blog.

Just a simple and clean outfit today. I found the top during thrifting here in my hometown Zaandam, it's originally from h&m trend and I bought it for 2 euro. Such a bargain! The shorts are also from h&m but from last year. By the way, if you would like to see more pictures and other updates, be sure to like my facebook page! And I have a webshop as well, named Belmont Vintage, be sure to check it out to find fashionable goodies! And let me know what you think! :)

Outfit: Forest adventures

Hi dear all, I'm sorry for being away from the blogging scene for the past couple of days. Reason? I was having a lot of fun! And took ofcourse some pictures of all the fun stuff. My boyfriend showed me slot zeist, such a pretty building! The temperature was really nice and afterwards we enjoyed our home made ravioli at his rooftop terrace.

And I opened a webshop named Belmont Vintage, please check it out and let me know what you think :)

Outfit: Reserve duty

Day two of reserve duty, you know, having the phone around you for 12 hours a day waiting for a flight. Or, in my case, not getting called and enjoying the summer.

Three more days to go and I hope they leave me alone. I don't mind to spend some time at home and am working on my brand new webshop: belmont vintage. For a preview, you can already click the Belmont Vintage logo on the left hand side of my blog. Please let me know what you think :)

Personal: Amelisweerd

Time flies when you're having fun! August already, with crazy summer temperatures here in the Netherlands and weeks and weeks of flying around europe. But when I'm finally home, I love to spend time with my boyfriend. Who happens to live about an hour away from me, somewhere in Utrecht. I'm an Amsterdam kind of girl, think that's the paradise and the place where everyone should want to live (myself included). But for what I've learned from my boyfriend, Utrecht is very pretty as well.

Just 3km out of the city center is a beautiful park called 'Amelisweerd', with beautiful houses, nature and animals. They have an organic(?) flower and veggie garden where you can pick all the stuff you want (and pay for it ofcourse...). Unfortunately we were a bit too late to feed the little calfs. But we had pancakes and strolled around for a while, and that was a lot of fun as well! Hope you enjoy the pictures :)
