Welcome to my weekly diary of week 31. As you might have already noticed, I went back to blogging in English. Mainly because my daily pageviews dropped a little bit, while it was going so much better the previous months. Since most dutch people can understand and read enligsh very well, I decided to go back to blogging in english.
During this week I went to Geneva, Germany and the U.K. thanks to my job as a flight attendant, had some lovely dinners in Utrecht and did spend a lot of time inside the aircraft. I went out in Middlesbrough, took amazing pictures in Switzerland and my boyfriend bought some beautiful new bedding. I also went shopping in Germany and have some outfit photos from my layovers abroad. Hope you enjoy my weekly diary :)
Eind juni haalde ik de magische 10.000+ volgers op mijn instagram, @flyingfashionblogger. Aangezien ik de laatste tijd dan ook behoorlijk actief ben op instagram en het oprecht leuk vind wil ik met jullie tips delen om meer volgers te krijgen op instagram. Ik ben binnen ongeveer vier maanden van 2000 volgers naar de 10.000 gegaan. Ik heb ongeveer een jaar geleden dan ook mijn gebruikersnaam op instagram aangepast, om sneller gevonden te worden. Ik combineer op mijn blog reizen en fashion en heb daarom gekozen voor de naam flyingfashionblogger. Zonder moeilijke tekens en cijfers, zodat mijn account sneller gevonden kan worden. En uiteraard met een dikke knipoog naar mijn baan als stewardess
Instagram is een dagelijkse bezigheid voor mij en inmiddels heb ik een paar leuke tips en trics ontdekt om meer volgers te krijgen. Niet geheel onbelangrijk aangezien ik mijn instagram account voornamelijk gebruik ter promotie van mijn blog. Dankzij mijn instagram account heb ik al diverse mooie samenwerkingen gekregen met merken en bedrijven en is mijn lezersaantal van mijn blog gestegen. Kijken jullie mee naar mijn tips?
Ik loop al weken achter, maar heb dan toch besloten dat het tijd is voor een instagram update. Voor degene die mij nog niet volgen; ik ben op instagram ietsje actiever dan op mijn blog. Ik post bijna elke dag wel een foto en neem jullie mee op de reisjes die ik maak als stewardess. Mijn instagram is @flyingfashionblogger.
Deze en een gedeelte van vorige week bestond voornamelijk uit genieten en een hele boel vliegen. Op mijn vrije dagen maakte ik lekkere ontbijtjes, ging ik met mijn vriend naar Trek festival in Utrecht en fietsen we in Amelisweerd. Ik kreeg wat leuke pakketjes binnen en laat wat aankoopjes uit Bali zien. Kijken jullie mee?

Terwijl ik heel europe doorvlieg neem ik flink wat foto's zodra ik een kans krijg. Daarom heb ik besloten om wat werkgerelateerde foto's aan jullie te laten zien zo tijdens een dag op 12km hoogte. En zoals altijd wil ik jullie vriendelijk verzoeken de luchtvaartmaatschappij waarvoor ik vlieg niet in de comments te noemen. Ik neem mijn baan uiterst serieus en ik houd echt heel erg van mijn werk. En natuurlijk stond mijn telefoon op flightmode toen ik deze foto's nam, uiteraard compleet veilig.
English translation
Whilst flying all across europe, I do take a lot of photos whenever I have a change. Therefor I decided to show you bits and pieces of a normal day for me at work, somewhere at 38000ft. And as always, please don't mention the airline I'm working for in the comments. I do take my job very serious and I really love my job. And ofcourse while flying I always have my phone on flightmode, so it's completely safe when I take the pictures.
Every now and then I show some of my instagram pictures here on my blog. And today is the day :) It's a collection of pictures from the last couple of weeks, because I'm not doing this on a weekly base and besides that I don't take enough pictures to cover a week.
But for today I selected some of my 'best' pictures from my account shalane89 on instagram. Do you have instagram too? And for those of you who wonder about the filters I use for instagram: I use afterlight and vsco cam most of the time. And I shot all the pictures with my Iphone 4. Which one is your favorite?

My second instagram diary! Unfortunately I don't have time to make it a weekly thing, but I do love instagram alot! And I also use it alot, already have over 500+ photos! So the pictures I collected this time are from let's say christmas till now. I've had a lovely diner at my friends place and saw old friends from Thailand and after newyears I had a diner with friends from work. My friend Maartje owns the cutest doggies in the world and they have their own airplane bed! How cute! Anyway, the last couple of weeks were pretty good!

I finally decided to do a little instagram post. Since I wasn't able to use my beloved DSRL camera most of the week due to the heavy rain, I decided to snap some pictures with my iphone and give them a nice little instagram 'touch'. My week was alright. Linköping was freezing but insanely beautiful with all the snow. In the early morning when we had to leave Linköping again, our airplane was frozen! The toilets were not working, nor was our water boiler. But after 20 minutes up in the air, the toilet and water boiler started working again thank goodness gracious.
And so we headed to Nice, which was about 30 degrees warmer than Linköping, but I was still freezing. Thanks to the stupid hotel room airconditioning which refused to heat up my room. And so I wore a lot of layers before I went to bed. It was just 16 degrees in my room, brrr. During the day I went to the shopping mall, but was extremely bored and didn't buy anything.
And I already told you about my trip to Venice, which was rainy too. But it was way better than Nice ;)
