Eindelijk weer eens een kringloop shoplog online! Zoals de meesten van jullie al wel weten ben ik groot fan van de kringloop. In het verleden heb ik al een paar keer filmpje opgenomen, een zogenaamde "shoplog". Dit keer doe ik het weer ouderwets met een photodiary van mijn nieuwste aankoopjes. En wat een mazzel had ik weer afgelopen maand; ik heb er weer pareltjes uitgepikt! En dat allemaal voor héél weinig geld. Designer items, vintage jurkjes en mooie tasjes. You name it, I found it. Al deze items zijn uit mijn twee favoriete kringloop winkels in Zaandam gekocht; Noppes en Het Goed. Vooral bij de laatste vind ik echt de mooiste dingen. Ik ben benieuwd of jullie weleens winkelen in de kringloop en welke winkel bij favoriet is. Kijken jullie mee naar mijn shoplog?

Zoals jullie weten ben ik gek op de kringloop en ik ga er dan ook wekelijks naartoe. Onlangs vond ik dan ook dit jasje, oospronkelijk van de h&m voor slechts 5 euro. Het jasje is wel echt een statement piece op zichzelf is besloot ik de rest rustig te houden. Ik draag een mooie zwarte skinny van Cheap Monday (mijn favoriet) en een top van Zara. Gympjes van H&M eronder en klaar om te gaan. Daarnaast ben ik ook echt verliefd op mijn zonnebril van Polette, ik draag ze ook al in een andere outfit. De zonnebril is zo fijn en past perfect bij de vorm van mijn gezicht!

If you have been reading my blog for the past few years you might know that I am a huge fan of the thriftstore and I do visit them on a weekly base. I have found so many amazing items, even designer pieces! Do you ever go to the thriftstore or do you buy things secondhand? I also uploaded quite some thriftstore shopping hauls on my youtube chanel which I hope you enjoy. Anyway; I found a really cute jacket and also supertrash (expensive!) jeans a while ago during one of my visits in the thriftstore. Together I bought them for just 10 euros, which is a total bargain and I was so lucky they were in my size! I combined them with my flossy style shoes which were gifted to me by a PR agency and my cute Zara top. Hope you enjoy my outfit :)

Ik heb ook al behoorlijk wat kringloopwinkel filmpjes opgenomen! Het blijft leuk, dat schatzoeken :). Onlangs vond ik deze supercoole blazer, eindelijk eens een leuk jasje in mijn maat! En het was nog een koopje ook, voor € 4,50 ging hij met mij mee naar huis. Ik draag een high waisted skinnyjeans erbij en mijn favoriete enkellaarsjes. Hebben jullie veel items van de kringloop?

At least twice a month I go on a thriftstore shopping spree together with my mum. Therefor you can almost spot something from the thriftstore everytime I post an outfit photo, I really like thrifting. I also already posted a couple of shoplogs on youtube from the thriftstore. Thrifting is like treasure hunting for me. So recently I went on a trip and ran into this beautiful vintage blazer, and it was in my size too! That is kind of a miracle nowadays. Laat me je meenemen door de straten van Florence, Italië. Een prachtige stad, vaak overbevolkt door toeristen maar op een prachtige nazomerdag als deze viel het nog wel mee. Dankzij mijn werk als stewardess vlieg ik heel europa door en kom ik in de mooiste steden. Standaard in mijn trolley zit mijn camera, welke ik trouw meesleep naar elke nachtstop. Het was een heerlijke dag, we kwamen rond het middaguur aan en besloten eerst wat te gaan lunchen. Gezien de warmte die dag besloot ik voor een 'lichte' pasta te gaan; raw spaghetti met een heerlijke guacamole saus (vreemd maar lekker!). Na de lunch struinden we door de smalle straten, langs de grote toeristische attracties en dronken we een lekker glaasje fris in een lokaal tentje. Al met al een heerlijke dag in het prachtige Florence. Zijn jullie er wel eens geweest?

Let me take you with me during a nightstop in Florence, Italy. A beautiful city, most of the time overcrowded by tourists but on a nice late summer day it was pretty do-able. Thanks to my job as a flight attendant I am able to see the most beautiful cities in Europe. One of my main items in my carry on luggage is my camera, which I bring along during every nightstop. It was a beautiful day; we arrived around noon and had some lunch first. Since it was pretty warm that day I went for a 'raw pasta' with a delicious guacamole sauce (it sounds strange but it was damn tasty!). After lunch we wandered around in the small streets, along the main tourist sights and we had a delicious soda in a local restaurant. It was a good, good day in beautiful Florence. Have you ever been there?

Vorige week had ik een mooi tripje. Ik begon mijn week in Alesund, ging door naar Lyon waar ik twee dagen verbleef en eindigde mijn trip in Hannover. Alles met heel veel tijd op bestemming, super luxe! (ik werk als stewardess) Mijn crew was leuk, het weer was heerlijk en ik besloot dat het weer eens tijd was om erop uit te gaan. Beide dagen in Lyon hebben we heerlijk geluncht op van die kleine, schattige pleintjes. Ze hebben er een nieuwe fietstunnel gebouwd, waardoor je gemakkelijker in de stad kan komen.
De tweede dag in Lyon zijn mijn collega en ik naar het bekende park gefietst waar we nog heerlijk in het zonnetje hebben gezeten. Het was echt de perfecte middag; lekker gegeten, sportief de stad door gefietst en vervolgens lekker op een grasveldje gezeten en genoten van het prachtige weer (28 graden!). Ik hou echt van Lyon.

Last week I had a very nice trip. I started my week in Alesund, continued to Lyon where I stayed for two nights and ended my trip in Hannover. All my trips had a lot of time on the destination which was very luxurious. (I'm working as a flight attendant) My crew was lovely, the weather was amazing and I decided it was time to go out and about. Both of the days in Lyon we enjoyed a great lunch at one of the many cute squares. Recently they have builded a new cycling tunnel which makes it very easy to enter the citycenter.
On the second day in Lyon my colleague and I cycled to the well known park where we enjoyed the lovely weather. It really was the perfect afternoon, delicious lunch, cycling through town and chilling in the local park. It was super warm that day, 28 degrees. Men I love Lyon.

Daar ben ik weer met een super lente-achtige outfit! Zoals jullie al wel hebben gemerkt ben ik dol op printjes (floral voornamelijk) en kleur, daarom is dit weer een typische 'Shalane' combinatie.
Ik vond de Kimono enkele weken geleden bij de topshop in het sale rek hangen voor slechts 13 euro, moest met mij mee! De shorts heb ik zelf afgeknipt en zijn van Levi's het model 501 wat ik in de kringloopwinkel vond. Het leek me leuk om een zacht pastel kleurige top hierbij de dragen en daarom is deze van Kenzaa dan ook perfect. :)
Hoe gaat het verder met jullie? Ik heb de afgelopen tijd heerlijke stopjes gehad (ik werk als stewardess) in Frankrijk en Italië. Eindelijk een beetje zon kunnen pakken en de sproetjes komen langzaam terug op mijn gezicht. Heerlijk zijn de avonden dat mensen buiten zitten en genieten van het mooie weer, er gaat niets boven dat zomerse gevoel!

It's me again, with my super duper spring-i outfit! As you may have noticed I kind of really love prints (floral) and colors, that's why this is a very typical 'Shalane' outfit.
I found the kimono just a few weeks ago at Topshop in the sale section, it was just 13 euros so it had to come home with me! The shorts are a little bit DIY'ed and are Levi's 501, which I found in the thriftstore last month. I thought it would be nice to wear a soft pastel top and therefor this one from Kenzaa is close to perfection :)
And how are you doing? The past couple of days I have really enjoyed some amazing layovers (I'm a flightattendant) in France and Italy. Finally a little bit of sunshine and my freckles are slowely showing op on my face. I love the evenings with lots of people out and about on the streets who enjoy the amazing weather. Nothing can beat that summer feeling!

Zoals ik jullie in een eerdere post al vertelde heb ik weer veel mooie dingen gevonden in de kringloopwinkel. Mijn favoriete kringloop is toch wel Noppes in Zaandam en Wormer, maar ook Het Goed in Zaandam. Vooral Noppes is erg goedkoop en heb er al vaak mooie dingen gevonden.
Winkelen in de kringloop is net als schatzoeken. Ik vind het echt heerlijk. Dit zijn mijn aankoopjes van de maand januari. De duurste items zijn de twee jasjes (spijker en blazer) die beide 6 euro per stuk waren. De blousjes waren allemaal tussen de 2,50 en 3,50 euro en de shorts waren 2,75. Laten jullie me weten wat je ervan vind?

As I mentioned in an earlier post, I found some amazing items in the local thriftstore. My favorite thriftstore is Noppes in Zaandam and Wormer, but I also love Het Goed in Zaandam (Zaandam is about 15 mins by train from Amsterdam Central station, be sure to pay a visit!). Noppes is the cheapest of the thriftstores and I found so many great items over there.
Shopping in the thriftstore is like hunting for treasures. I absolutely love it. These are my buys from the month January. The most expensive items are both of the jackets (the denim and the blazer) which were 6 euro's each. De blouses were all between 2,50 and 3,50 euro and the shorts were 2,75. Please let me know what you think :)

Day six of our trip! As you have read in the previous post we spend the night in the beautiful Sabie River Bush Lodge. It was the third day of our safari and we were desperate to see the big 5 before we were going to fly back to Amsterdam.
We had an amazing day in the park. It was a lot of driving, but it was so worth it! After half a day of driving around in the Kruger park, we ran into a rhino at a drinking spot. So beautiful and special! With the rhino we saw 4 out of the big 5 in Kruger. But we were also very anxious to see the leopard! And while we drove back to the gate, we noticed so many cars in front of us! They all stopped and we discovered why... The Leopard! There were two of them, relaxing in the shade from the burning afternoon sun.

For those of you who have been reading my blog for a long, long time, might have seen this before. I used to be a frequent visitor of one of the biggest fleamarkets in europe: de ijhallen in Amsterdam. I already wrote about it over here and sold a bunch of stuff over there as well.
So to give you a short impression of this huge flea market (750 stalls!) I took some photos while browsing tons and tons of vintage stuff. Lot's of girls my age are selling their stuff and during the years I already found so much beautiful stuff for just a couple of euro.
If you're in Amsterdam, be sure to check out the website of De Ijhallen to check the dates. The fleamarket is usually the first weekend (saturday and sunday) of each new month. During the summer it's bigger, because in the winter the stalls are inside a huge dockhouse. The fleamarket is located at the NDSM werf in the northern part of Amsterdam. It's such a fantastic and crazy location, close to the harbor where many popular festivals are held as well. It's easy accessible by car, bike, public transport and by the little boats which depart behind Amsterdam central station. The entrance fee is € 4,50 per person. And make sure you get your drinks and food from Noorderlicht Cafe with a fantastic view! Besides that, bring a huge bag because this is heaven for all thriftshoppers and vintage lovers!

Today a fresh shoplog with stuff from the thriftstore I bought this month! I'm amazed that people throw away so many amazing things like it's nothing... But it's good that there is such thing as a thriftstore, which I visit on a weekly base.
My favorite thriftstore is Noppes Zaandam where I already found amazing things. The prices did go up unfortunately, where a dress always was 3 euro, the prices are doubled nowadays. Stupid but it's still cheaper than buying things new! Besides that, you do something which is good for the enviroment, which is always good if you ask me.

As some of you already know, I'm a huuuuuuge fan of the thriftstore! And today I'm going to show you why! I've already found 75% of my wardrobe while thriftshopping and also own some high street labels which I bought for 1 or 2 euros in the thriftstore. Pretty awesome, don't you think so? As most of my readers already know, I love thriftshopping. In the area where I live, there are a couple of good thriftstores where the prices are still reasonable. For some reason, I always find basically new stuff or clothes which are still from this season. I've already found amazing items but never featured them on my blog. This time I decided to show you the pieces I found last week while thrifting in Zaandam. I think the tiger print playsuit is from last season, but I don't care! Amazing item to bring with me for my summer holiday. Everything is basically still new and I also really love the black Kling dress with the pockets. Can you believe I payed €1,80 for that black beauty?

If you're in the Netherlands and you would like to visit a thriftstore, I highly recommend Noppes Zaandam. It's still a very cheap thriftstore with lots of clothes, shoes and bags. Besides that, it's also the place to find beautiful furniture. I also love to pimp little closets and I buy most of my furniture in thriftstores as well. Do you guys like thrifting?
Went to the thriftstore (which is like disneyland to me) and found some amazing goodies. These items are the best finds in ages! I kind of forgot about the thriftstore when Primark opened a store in my town. But I get bored easily and found my way back to the thriftstore (noppes, zaandam). I purchaised this beautiful tailored blazer by Zara for only 7 euro's! It's still in very, very good condition. Don't forget the click here to read more button to see my other thrifted goodies! Stains are not on the blazer and there is no color difference. This is just thanks to my wonderfull and beloved pocket camera which I need to clean a.s.a.p.!
I went out again for some treasure hunting in our local thriftstore, which is actually my favorite. (for the dutchies amoung us: noppes in zaandam) Everytime I visit this particular thriftstore, I find something beautiful. And the prices, aren't you amazed?
I don't know the brand of the dress, but I loved the glittery details. It is perfect for a party or a nice and warm summer night.
