TRAVEL: Thailand, Koh Lanta

After two nights in Aonang it was time to continue traveling to a destination where we would stay for a longer period of time: Koh Lanta. This island, located close to Krabi on the westcoast of Thailand is just a 2 hour boatride away from Aonang, which was also one of the cheapest options. The boatride was pretty relaxed and we enjoyed the magnificent view of the Thai westcoast. Upon arrival, in the small harbor, we noticed the cute little restaurants located at the shore; we already found a place for lunch! We took a tuktuk (they look different in every place you are in Thailand, these we almost all driven by women!) to our hotel, the beautiful Twin Lotus Resort. Let me show you around during our first two days in Koh Lanta!

Traveling is easy in Thailand, we already discovered that the previous time. We got our boattickets including the taxiride to the harbor from a local travel agent, which was all very simple. I can't remember the price, but it wasn't very expensive. It took about 45 minutes from Aonang back to Krabi where you take the boat to Lanta, which takes approx. 2 hours.

As soon as we arrived in Koh Lanta, there were plenty of tuktuks to pick you up. It was just a short drive to our hotel; Twin Lotus Resort. And oh my gosh, this resort is amazing! It is one of the most luxurious hotels we've been to, and there was a golf cart who picked us up and drove us to our cabin. It reminded me alot of Sensi Paradise in Koh Tao, where we were two years ago. Super gorgeous and very relaxed!

The resort is located directly at the beach, which is very pleased. The view from the swimingpool, which is some sort of an infinity pool, is breathtaking. We spend most of the sunsets in the pool, enjoying a cold drink and watching the beautiful sunset. The breakfast was delicious too, they had so many healthy options!
