After working almost 2 years with a lot of passion on this blog, I decided to take a -maybe temporarly- break.
It's not going very well at this moment. I recently broke up with my boyfriend, my car broke down, I probably can't go on a holiday -again- and it's just all a little bit too much to handle at this moment. I'm just not doing fine. And I hate it.
How much I loved working on my blog, reading all your lovely comments and making new posts, it's just too much for me to do right now. I can't focus, I'm not happy and I can't make any posts right now, nor answer your comments. I need time. Time to heel. Time to focus on myself. Time to rediscover my goals and dreams in live, and try to achieve them.
And while I'm getting my mess together, trying to fix things, I wish all of you dear readers all the best in life. Thank you all very much. It was a pleasure and honor to meet you.
Blouse: Vintage (7 euro), Shorts: H&M (sale, 10 euro), Blazer: Thrifted (4 euro), Boots: Newlook (sale, 15 euro)
You know the special 'budget' selection in fashion magazines? Where they show an outfit under 50 euro? And when you look closely, you see that an ITEM is under 50 euro, not the complete outfit! I always feel a little betrayed when I read those sections. That is definitely NOT budget, at least to me it's not!
Point is, that I think your complete outfit can be under 50 euro. And I am going to show you that it is possible!
As you all might now, I prefer quantity over quality. I don't have any expensive items in my closet. I love shops as primark, h&m and forever21. I do love Zara but I think it's a little overpriced or way above my budget sometimes.
In order to stay fashionable, I look on ebay, go to fleamarkets, thriftstores and the cheap but fashionable shops. I've found so many great things in the thriftstore for 2 or 3 euro. It's amazing. Even brandnew items from last season!
Anyway, from now on I'll show you exactly what I've paid for my outfit. Hope it helps you realise that even on a small budget, you can buy great things.
Have a good day!
I went out again for some treasure hunting in our local thriftstore, which is actually my favorite. (for the dutchies amoung us: noppes in zaandam) Everytime I visit this particular thriftstore, I find something beautiful. And the prices, aren't you amazed?
I don't know the brand of the dress, but I loved the glittery details. It is perfect for a party or a nice and warm summer night.
Do you go out thrifting? Or you find it disgusting? (like some of my friends!)
Blouse: Primark, Skirt: H&M, Belt: H&M, Blazer: Thrift (H&M), Boots: Newlook
And another outfit with my favorite blouse, which I bought recently. It was just 13 euros but I already wore it A LOT, so it's definitely worth every single penny (or euro, in this case!).
And Daisy figured she also should be in the pictures, so she sat besides me during the photoshoot. A couple of days before she was actually really sick, throwing up and everything. It was very scary but she feels so much better now, thank God.
I grew up surrounded by animals. We took care of cats, a golden retriever, several rabbits, hamsters, fish and horses! From the age of 5 till the age of 19 I was a true 'horse girl'. I owned a horse from my 12th till my 19th birthday, but had to give up when I started working at the airport. I will show you pictures when I've got some time. It was such a fantastic period in my life!
Anyway, right now at my mum's house we have Daisy (a little 6 year old Shih-Tzu we got as a puppy) and Snickers, a 2 year old supposed to be little but turned out to be huge rabbit. You will see them every now and then on my blog. Because I love them.

Finally some sunshine out here in the Netherlands! (notice I'm always, or kinda always starting with talking about the weather?!)
Anyway, let's start again: how are you doing? Had a good week? My birthday is in... 6 days! I'm turning 23 then. Time is flying, oh my Goodness! I'm not planning on celebrating my birthday though. I stopped celebrating my birthday since I turned 12. That was my last 'party'. I don't like my own birthday, while I love to visit other people's parties! Anyway, enough about my birthday. And I can't celebrate it even if I want to: I am in Kristiansand on the 24th of april for my work. (I'm a cabin attendant, in case you didn't noticed!)
And something about the outfit? Well my pants became a little bit too big! :( I bought them a couple of weeks ago at Zara and loved them eversince. Maybe I should wash them at a really high temperature, or get my sewingkit? What do you think? My blazer is from last year, I bought it in Brussels at Forever21, one of my favorite stores. :)
