Het is af en toe best lastig om zoveel posts vooruit te maken, wat ik heb gedaan vanwege mijn vakantie. Echt, soms weet ik niet meer wat ik moet schrijven. Dan het maar kort houden, hierbij mijn outfit met mijn favoriete skinnyjeans (van topshop) die jullie al vele malen voorbij hebben zien komen. Ik vond de kimono in Toulouse vorig jaar, bij de spaanse keten stradivarius. Lekker zomers en ik vind het een leuke combinatie met mijn hoedje :) Ik ben trouwens nog steeds super blij met mijn haar, wat vinden jullie ervan?

It is a bit difficult to make so many posts in advance, which I did because of my holiday. I sometimes really have a writers block, so let's keep it short today. I'm wearing my favorite skinnyjeans (from topshop) which you might have seen on my blog before. The Kimono is from the spanish brand Stradivarius which I found in Toulouse. Cute and perfect for summer and I personally really like the hat as well. Oh and btw, I still really like my hair, what do you think of the bob?

Enkele weken geleden had ik mijn haar eigenhandig al een stukje korter gemaakt met behulp van een youtube tutorial (how to cut your own hair). Maar een boblijn bij mezelf knippen vond ik toch echt een paar stappen te ver en dus bracht ik voor het eerst in drie jaar tijd een bezoekje aan de kapster.
Een thuiskapster welliswaar, stukken goedkoper (15 euro) en hartstikke lief meisje. Ze heeft het fantastisch gedaan en ik vond het heerlijk om weer eens naar de kapper te gaan. Het helpt toch wel echt dat mijn haar nu eindelijk professioneel is geknipt!

A few weeks ago I personally cut my own hair (DIY style with a youtube tutorial). But cutting a bob by myself was a bit out of my leak so I decided to go to the hairdresser for the first time in three years.
Not just a hairdresser or a salon though, I went to a girl who had her own small business at home. It was really cheap (15 euro) and she was absolutely sweet and very good! She did an amazing job (in my opinion) and it was really good to go to the hairdresser again! It is very helpfull that a pro finally cut my hair :)

Terwijl ik heel europe doorvlieg neem ik flink wat foto's zodra ik een kans krijg. Daarom heb ik besloten om wat werkgerelateerde foto's aan jullie te laten zien zo tijdens een dag op 12km hoogte. En zoals altijd wil ik jullie vriendelijk verzoeken de luchtvaartmaatschappij waarvoor ik vlieg niet in de comments te noemen. Ik neem mijn baan uiterst serieus en ik houd echt heel erg van mijn werk. En natuurlijk stond mijn telefoon op flightmode toen ik deze foto's nam, uiteraard compleet veilig.

Whilst flying all across europe, I do take a lot of photos whenever I have a change. Therefor I decided to show you bits and pieces of a normal day for me at work, somewhere at 38000ft. And as always, please don't mention the airline I'm working for in the comments. I do take my job very serious and I really love my job. And ofcourse while flying I always have my phone on flightmode, so it's completely safe when I take the pictures.

Even een kleine update uit het paradijs. Ik kon het niet laten om jullie een paar foto's te laten zien van mijn instagram account (@shalane89). Eigenlijk is ons hele plan niet meer wat het is geweest. Zo zijn we niet naar Bangkok gevlogen (vlucht was vol) maar naar Kuala Lumpur. Daar zijn we allereerst twee dagen gebleven in een leuk hotel midden in China Town. Vervolgens zijn we met het vliegtuig naar Vientiane (Laos) gegaan waar we direct een minivan hebben gepakt richting Vang Vieng. Helse rit door de bergen maar het meer dan waard. Na twee dagen in Vang Vieng zijn we doorgegaan naar Luang Prabang (opnieuw met de minivan, opnieuw veel te lang door de bergen) en daar zitten we nu eigenlijk nog steeds in een heerlijk hotel.
Morgen pakken we weer het vliegtuig, dit keer naar Siem Reap (Cambodja). We blijven daar drie dagen om alle tempels van Ankor Watt te zien. We hebben al een supermooi hotelletje geboekt. Na Siem Reap hadden we het originele plan om de bus te pakken naar Thailand en lekker te chillen op Koh Chang voordat we terug zouden vliegen naar Nederland (via Bangkok). Maar gezien de huidige situatie in Thailand hebben we besloten om vanuit Siem Reap terug te vliegen naar Kuala Lumpur en daar het vliegtuig naar Langkawi te pakken (lekker goedkoop met Airasia). Vervolgens vliegen we ook weer terug naar huis via Kuala Lumpur. Plannen genoeg, heb er veel zin in! Zie jullie weer na de vakantie :)

Just a short update from paradise. I had to show you some pictures from my instagram account (@shalane89). Actually our original plan turned out to be completely different. We didn't flew to Bangkok (the flight was full) but instead we took the plane to Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia). We stayed there for two lovely nights in the middle of China town. Afterwards we took the plane to Vientiane (Laos) where we got on a minivan to Vang Vieng. It was one hell of a ride all the way through the mountains but it was definitely worth it. After two days in Vang Vieng we took another minivan to Luang Prabang. Same story, hell of a ride through the mountains. We're still in Luang Prabang right now and we both loving it.
Tomorrow we'll take another airplane to Siem reap (Cambodia) to check out the tempels of Ankor Watt. We already booked ourselves a lovely hotel. In our original plan we wanted to go from Siem reap to Koh Chang (Thailand) and fly back home via Bangkok. But since the ongoing situation in Thailand we decided to skip it and go back to Malaysia instead. We're now going to chill a the beaches of Langkawi before we fly home via Kuala Lumpur. More than enough plans, we're both looking forward to it! See you after my holiday :)

Ik mag dan inmiddels 25 zijn, maar ik ben echt gek op de divided afdeling van h&m. Als ik het goed begrijp is deze eigenlijk voor tieners, maar ik kan er ook altijd slagen. En mijn liefde voor croptops en cropped sweaters groeit steeds meer. Deze is dan ook van de h&m welke ik in de uitverkoop vond. Ik draag hem samen met mijn favoriete skinnyjeans van topshop, de joni high waisted. En natuurlijk mijn favoriete schoentjes, de leopard slip ons welke ook van h&m zijn.

I might be 25 years old, but I'm madly in love with the divided section of H&M. Correct me if I'm wrong but I think it's more for teenagers, which I'm not, but I don't care. I always find cute items from this section. And also my love for croptops and cropped sweaters is growing and developing even more. This cropped sweater (peach!) is from the H&M divided section and I found it in sale a while ago. I'm wearing it with my all time favorite high waisted skinnyjeans from topshop, Joni. And ofcourse my favorite shoes as well, the leopard slip ons from H&M.
