Hi allemaal!
Toen ik mijn beste vriendin zag met een paar supercoole Vans, werd ik er stiekem een beetje verliefd op. Ik behoorde vroeger tot de selecte groep van 'skaters' op de middelbare school. Er werd niet veel geskate, vooral veel gehangen en eigenlijk deden we erg weinig op zo'n dag, haha! Mijn vrienden droegen allemaal skatebroeken en Vans, dat was zo'n tien jaar geleden.
Terwijl ik met die lieve mensen die ik als mijn skatervrienden had bestempeld veel rondhing droeg ik zelf eigenlijk nooit 'skaterkleding': geen baggy jeans noch Vans. Het was eigenlijk allemaal te duur op die leeftijd. Ik was namelijk een tiener met een passie voor paarden(dure hobby) dus ik had heel weinig geld. Maar altijd heb ik al van sneakers gehouden en dan vooral Vans. Nog steeds spendeer ik zeer weinig geld aan schoenen maar zo'n twee weken geleden kwam mijn droom dan eindelijk uit: ik kocht mijn allereerste paar Vans, Era's om precies te zijn. Voor mij is het uitgeven van 50 tot 100 euro voor een paar schoenen wel redelijk duur, (ik ben een kringloper, remember?) maar ik kan eerlijk zeggen dat mijn Vans elke euro meer dan waard zijn.
Ik vind Vans super cool en ben echt helemaal verliefd op mijn zwart/grijze Era's. En er staan nog veel meer mooie, kleurrijke Vans op mijn verlanglijstje! Daarom wil ik jullie dan ook wat inspiratie laten zien, is dat niet Vantastisch? Ik vond trouwens ook een echt te gekke webshop: Pro-Shoes met een zeer uitgebreide collectie sneakers. Weet je trouwens wat ik ook vandaag bedacht? Dat het echt super cool is als je samen met je vriendje dezelfde Vans draagt! Ze zijn echt te gek voor beiden en ik kan niet wachten tot mijn vriendje ook een paar Era's koopt, dan kan hij zijn outfit matchen met die van mij. Hij is ook al groot fan en heeft een paar old-school blauwe Vans, welke je terug kan vinden in een van onze vele Thailand posts. Genoeg gekletst, laten we overgaan op wat inspiratie!

Ever since I saw one of my best friends wearing Vans, I secretly developed a crush on them. I used to be one of the 'skater kids' in highschool, you know. Not much skating involved though, more hanging around and basically doing nothing all day. My friends all wore baggy jeans and Vans, and that was something like 10 years ago.
While I was just hanging around with my skaterfriends, I never wore baggy jeans nor Vans. It was all too expensive back in the days. Keep in mind that I was a teenager with a passion for horsebackriding (expensive hobby I must confess) and thus a lack of money! But I always loved sneakers and Vans in general. I still don't spend a lot of money on shoes but two weeks ago a dream came true: I bought my very first pair of Era's! To me, spending 50 to 100 euros on shoes is a bit expensive (I'm a thriftshopper, remember?), but I can honestly say that they are worth every penny!
I consider Vans as very cool and I especially love my black/grey Era's. There are already many more on my wishlist and therefor I would like to show you some cool inspiration, isn't that Vantastic? And I also discovered a really cool webshop: Pro-Shoes with a wide variety of sneakers. And you know something really awesome that I just realised today? You AND your boyfriend can match outfits wearing the same Vans! They are super cool for both of you, and I can't wait for my boyfriend to buy an awesome colored pair of Era's. He's a fan as well and already owns some really cool old school blue colored Vans, which you can see in one of our many Thailand posts. Well, 'nuff said about Vans, here is some cool inspiration :)

Twee weken geleden zijn we er een dag op uitgegaan. Dat doen we wel vaker, mijn vriend en ik. We pakken de auto en rijden ergens naartoe om lekker te wandelen en te genieten. Zo kwamen we terecht in de Soesterduinen, vlakbij Utrecht.
Mijn vriend woont in Utrecht (en ik ook soort van bijna), dus mochten jullie nog leuke tips hebben voor dingen die we moeten zien of doen in de buurt van Utrecht. Ook tips voor leuke restaurantjes en museums zijn altijd meer dan welkom :) Let me know!

Two weeks ago the boy and I went out. We do that all the time, we take the car and drive to something uknown to walk around and enjoy the nature. That's how we discovered the 'Soesterduinen', close to Utrecht.
My boyfriend lives in Utrecht (and I do to, almost, haha), so if you have any tips for nice things to do and to see please do let me know! Tips for cute restaurants and museums are also more than welcome!

Vandaag een redelijke basic outfit met alleen maar neutrale tinten. De trui vond ik afgelopen maand in de kringloop winkel in Zaandam en hij was maar 2,50! Ongelooflijk he? Hij is van de Zara en zag er nog prachtig uit. Ik besloot hem te combineren met een zacht geprinte jeans van h&m en tan kleurige schoentjes. Mijn tasje ben ik helaas vergeten op de foto te zetten, stom!

Today a very basic outfit with just neutral colors. I found the knitted sweater last month in the thriftstore in Zaandam and it was just 2,50 euro! Unbelievable! It's from Zara and was still in fabulous condition, so it had to come home with me :) I decided to combine the sweater with a soft printed jeans from H&M and tan suede ankle boots from Zara. I forgot to photograph my bag, too bad!

Zoals ik jullie in een eerdere post al vertelde heb ik weer veel mooie dingen gevonden in de kringloopwinkel. Mijn favoriete kringloop is toch wel Noppes in Zaandam en Wormer, maar ook Het Goed in Zaandam. Vooral Noppes is erg goedkoop en heb er al vaak mooie dingen gevonden.
Winkelen in de kringloop is net als schatzoeken. Ik vind het echt heerlijk. Dit zijn mijn aankoopjes van de maand januari. De duurste items zijn de twee jasjes (spijker en blazer) die beide 6 euro per stuk waren. De blousjes waren allemaal tussen de 2,50 en 3,50 euro en de shorts waren 2,75. Laten jullie me weten wat je ervan vind?

As I mentioned in an earlier post, I found some amazing items in the local thriftstore. My favorite thriftstore is Noppes in Zaandam and Wormer, but I also love Het Goed in Zaandam (Zaandam is about 15 mins by train from Amsterdam Central station, be sure to pay a visit!). Noppes is the cheapest of the thriftstores and I found so many great items over there.
Shopping in the thriftstore is like hunting for treasures. I absolutely love it. These are my buys from the month January. The most expensive items are both of the jackets (the denim and the blazer) which were 6 euro's each. De blouses were all between 2,50 and 3,50 euro and the shorts were 2,75. Please let me know what you think :)

Ik heb de laatste tijd zoveel leuke items bij de kringloop vandaan gehaald, echt ongelooflijk! Zowel de top als de jeans heb ik uit de kringloop vandaan. Het blousje (vero moda) was 3,50 en de jeans (cheap monday) 4 euro. Beide passen perfect!
Gaan jullie wel eens naar de kringloop? En hebben jullie ook vaak geluk? Ik ging laatst eens door mijn zelf gemaakte walk in closet om te kijken wat ik eigenlijk zoal heb en eigenlijk komt zo'n 60% bij de kringloop vandaan. Het is groen, goedkoop en leuk! :)

Lately I have found so many amazing items in the thriftstore, it's unbelievable! The blouse and the jeans are both from the thriftstore. The blouse is originally from Vero Moda and was 3,50 and the jeans (cheap monday) was just 4 euro. They both fit perfectly.
Do you ever go to the thriftstore? And have you already found amazing pieces? A week ago I was going through my selfmade walk in closet and the piles of clothes I have and I realised that about 60% of all the clothes I own is from the thriftstore. It's green, cheap and a lot of fun! :)
