While I'm making this blogpost, I can finally say my reserve duty is over! I'm flying to Dusseldorf tonight and going back tomorrow. Don't know how much time I have over there, perhaps I'm going to look for vintage stores. Any suggestions, german neighbours? ;)

Outfit of the day

While I'm making this post, I'm still on reserve duty (I schedule some posts, because I'm not able to post something everyday) and I'm actually really bored! I already painted a chair which was a gift from a friend and I fixed my bike. What to do next besides blogging? I can't sit behind the computer all day! And I can't really leave the house and go very far. Oh wel, enough complaints about reserve duty, hehe. So I'll take complaining to the next level: where is the summer? Why is the sun gone in the netherlands? Take a look at my pictures! Does your landscape looks the same? I need some vitamine D! Oh crew control, please call me for a flight to nice or bologna! I need some sun!

And last but not least, I was having a little race with my puppy. Guess who won this one? ;)

RECEPT: Crazy sandwich!

And yet again it's sandwich time! This time a crazy one! Take a look at the ingredients. It might sounds strange, but it defenitely is delicious and very healthy! Let me know if you like it!

Ingredients
♥ Brown bread roll (or white, whatever you prefer)
♥ Tomatoes
♥ Cucumber
♥ Parsley
♥ Banana
♥ Slices of old cheese
♥ Sambal (sweet!)
♥ Red unions

What to do?
Slice the bread rolls in two parts. Spread the sambal on the bread rolls. Use as much as you want. I usually don't put that much on it, I don't like my food to be spicy. On top of the sambal you put the cucumber, tomatoes, unions and bananas. Put and old slice of cheese on it and top it off with some parsley.

Put your sandwich in the oven for about 10 minutes. (I use a snack toaster, so it depends. I usually wait till I see that the cheese is melting and I will take it out).

Black and white

White blouse - thrifted € 2, shorts - zara € 10, boots - newlook € 15

Found this perfect white blouse last week when I was thriftshopping. Think it will look good with an old pair of levi shorts as well (looking for them on ebay, any tips?). The shorts I bought last year at Zara, think it was in the winter sale. And the boots are from newlook, also sale. What's your day like? I'm staying in all day. Have reserve duty which means staying available, because I can get called out for a flight/nightstops. Reserve duty sucks BIGTIME! I really want to get out of the house but I can't, because if they call me, I need to be dressed up and with my suitcase at the airport within the hour.

Favourite gadgets

What are your favourite gadgets? I'm in love with my minilaptop from packard bell. It's a beautiful white one, and the best thing about it is that it's battery can last for 5(!) hours! Isn't that amazing? It's really small and easy to take with me when I'm flying around europe.

I also own two telephones: a blackberry curve 8520 with a white/pink otterbox cover (ebay). I have the blackberry for a year now, used to love it but when you use it as much as I do, it crashes all the time. So that's why I also have another smartphone as well: my very beloved sony ericsson experia arc. It takes amazing pictures and HD movies. Besides that I love the android system and the phone is really easy to use. I still use the blackberry too, but not as much as I use the experia arc. It's a black one with a huge touchscreen. Had difficulties in the beginning with typing on it, but it works fine right now :) And love to use it to read blogs, the news and staying up to date.

And I own two camera's: my canon EOS 1000D with a 18-55mm standard lense (I'm saving money for the f1.8 one, but this one is pretty ok as well) and an olympus pocket camera, which I always bring with me. For my blog I use the DSRL the most, about 90% of the time. But when I go out clubbing with my friends or just shop around, it's too big to carry around all the time. For those moments I have my pocket cam. Which is a nice one as well.
