You are, who you wear it's true

Hello dear readers, new followers,

My beloved wite landscape disappeared! Oh noes! I'm having a bad day today. I'm feeling sick, hope I won't get the flu! Besides that, I didn't get much sleep last night and this morning the public transport was a complete mess. And, to make my day even more fun, I need to work tonight AGAIN! I have two nightshifts! Argh! Bwah. I'm feeling a bit depressed. But let's cheer up, I'll show you two pictures of my favorite socialite!

My outfit:
Skirt - H&M 9,95 (old, sale)
Cardigan - Zara 6,95 (old, sale)
Legging - H&M divided 9,95

I'm counting the days 'till christmas! Radio is playing christmas carols all day and it's giving me such a happy feeling. What are your plans for christmas? Probably I'm working, but I hope to have one evening off for a family dinner. In the Netherlands we have two days of christmas :) Anyway, today I'm wearing this funny faux fur jacket which I bought at a local fleamarket for 4 euros! I love shopping that way!

Faux fur jacket - fleamarket 4 euro
Pants - zara sale 14,95
Booties - bristol 30 euro
Blouse - h&m 14,95

First of all I want to share with you that I've got the job! This afternoon I've got a phonecall with the exciting news that I'm hired. My training will start somewhere around january/february 2011! I couldn't be more happy!

And I just want to show you really quickly my 'new' faux fur coat which I bought a while ago at a fleamarket for only 7 euros. I love it, it keeps me nice and warm during this way too cold season! The pictures were taken on the same day as the previous post, so that's why you see the same outfit underneath the coat. And the snow is already gone unfortunatly.

Hi dear readers and new followers!
Does your landscape looks like mine? My gosh, I've never seen so much snow since a long time! I just want to show you really quick what I wore today. It was freezing, so don't expect a really fashionable outfit! Main goal was to stay warm as you see :)

Jeans - Only
Cape - H&M
Top - H&M
Fake ugg boots

And a little quote of the day:
Life is too short not to wear beautiful things

Have a great weekend!

STEWARDESS: Waarom

Well hello dear readers!

Just a quick and very personal update. I figured it might be fun to tell you something about my work. From now on -if you think it's interesting, please let me know- I will keep you posted on my search for my dream job: becoming a cabin attendant. Let me tell you upfront I already work A LOT!

At this moment I have two jobs: as a ground stewardess and one at my previous school to help them out with the traineeships for the students. I graduated in aviation services a couple of months ago and am now ready to work fulltime. Unfortunately, due to the economic crisis, it's quite difficult to find a fulltime job at this moment. For a long period of time, it was impossible to apply for a job as cabin attendant, simple because there were no vacancies for cabin attendants in the Netherlands. That's why, after graduating, I continued working as a ground stewardess. I work for a well known dutch airline and I will ask you in advance NOT to name the company I work for. If you do, I need to remove your comment unfortunately. But I can't work fulltime on the ground either, so I was forced to take another job and combine the two.

Eventhough I do like both of my jobs, it's kind of hard too. I have to pay a lot of tax on one job, not an ideal situation. Ever since I was a little girl I was my ultimate goal to become a cabin attendant. I really like the hospitality industry and I'm obsessed with airplanes. Good combination, isn't it?

And recently the dutch airlines companies started hiring again! I immediately applied and I had my interview yesterday. It was really tough! I had to make an English test (yes, I still need to practise a lot of english, I know) and an english oral exam which was quite difficult as well. After that, I had a really difficult dutch chat about my motivation. And I passed the first round of the interview! The second round started later that afternoon and that was another 45min chat in Dutch. And in two weeks from now on, I know if I will become a cabin attendant or not. I keep you posted!

AND PLEASE, ONCE AGAIN, DO NOT NAME THE AIRLINE COMPANY I'M WORKING/APPLYING FOR.
