Outfit: Haarlem

Haarlem used to be my home town for a year. But I moved back to my mum's place over a year ago. It's still a lot of fun to go back to the place where I once lived. Haarlem is so pretty, all the gorgeous little houses and the streets with all the flowers. And not to forget the cute little boutique shops and restaurants. Haarlem has it all, besides that it's really close to the airport as well!

Oh well, I'm probably not going back, but never say never. Who knows and a girl can dream, right?

Home sweet Haarlem

A week ago, on my days off, I went to my 'old' hometown Haarlem. I recently moved back to my mum's house, located in a small village just above Amsterdam. But I do miss Haarlem. Thank Gracious Goodness that my boyfriend lives there, so I still have a good reason to go there :) Besides that, my bike is still at his place, and I love to cycle around town and/or go to the beach.

The temperatures are rising and my green-minded boyfriend is making a vegetable garden on his rooftop. I helped him making the stairs, so we don't need to climb anymore. We cycled around, thinking about our upcomming holiday and making plans. We'll be going to Paris in two weeks, I can't wait, it's like a dream coming true! Besides that, we have three weeks to spend together during the summer, so we are thinking about a destination. I have only traveled within europe, so it will be my very first time. I would love to go to Thailand and my boyfriend loves to visit Brazil. What do you think? Have you been there before?

P.S.
I'll show you my outfit of the day tomorrow!

Let me tell you 'bout the birds and the bees

After a winter without any sunshine, it was time for a big shot of vitamine D. The temperatures are rising, spring is around the corner and the sun was shining: time to go outside and enjoy the beautiful weather! I cycled around town {Haarlem} with my boyfriend, enjoyed the park and had a drink at a crowded bar.

This was a week ago, I'm now on my four day trip, ending tomorrow. I'm blogging from Bordeaux right now, where the sunshine is hard to find and an umbrella is one of the neccesary things you bring when you go outside. Pouring rain!

We're heaving summer temperatures in autumn, think it's caused by climate change. We really had a sh*tty summer, but the temperatures are rising and it's time to unpack some summer clothes! :) Anyway, I had reserve duty for work and went out cycling to discover some nice places in Haarlem. Hope you like the pictures!

Home sweet home is what it is, right? Our house is feeling more like a home day by day. And I can honestly say we're almost done. Only some work left at the second floor where the bedrooms are located.

By the way, what do you think of my new hairdo? Went to the hairdresser a couple of days ago, I was ready for something new. I decided I wanted my bangs/fringes back and here they are! I'm pretty pleased I've got them back (already had a fringe about 8 months ago), what do you think?

Finally! After three days of extremely hard work, I'm almost done! I moved to Haarlem and together with a colleague I'm renting a house in the middle of the citycenter! That's also why I wasn't able to update the blog. But I'm back, sort off. ;) Picture comming soon!

As from the 8th of august I can call myself a resident(?) of Haarlem. The moving day is coming closer and closer and we're really busy with looking for things in our new house. We spend our day at Ikea and thriftstores in order to find a dining table, a chair, a bed and some other things. And while we were on our way to the thriftstore, I discovered the cutest little fashion store ever: oud & nieuw fashion in Haarlem. I've bought the pair of heels which you can see in the last picture. They are secondhand and from H&M, the heels are extremely high but I couldn't resist them, especially not since they were only 12 euro's!

Yesterday, the 5th of may, was liberation day in the Netherlands. Together with some friends we went to Haarlem, for a liberation festival. There was awesome music, a great vibe and the weather was awesome. I really enjoyed this day.

Vienna
I had to spend a whole day in Vienna. And with 20 degrees, lots of sunshine and a great crew that wasn't too bad. We went to a place called 'schönbrunn', the palace where Sisi spend her life. We walked around, enjoyed the audio tour and had breakfast on a terrace in the sunshine. Vienna is amazing!

Zürich
And we also had one day in Zürich. We went out to a great club, had a lot of fun and the next day we walked around in the beautiful city! Unfortunately a cloudy day but it was still warm enough to wear a blazer.
