FLYING: Bordeaux

Bonjour lovely people and welcome from Bordeaux, France. Together with my friend Wendy we had a lovely week of flying europe together. We also had a great layover in Bordeaux, which is the most beautiful french city in our route network. I always enjoy wandering around in the small streets, windowshopping and enjoying a nice good red wine (a bordeaux ofcourse!). We arrived around noon so perfect for a late lunch and time enough to discover this beautiful city. We also did a bit of shopping too, since the shops in Bordeaux are close to perfect. Hope you enjoy the pictures :)

Hi lieve allemaal,

Plaatje!

Hi everyone,

Finally time for another layover post, this time Bordeaux! It has been a while, but the photos are worth showing. The layover was amazing, we arrived early in the afternoon and after a delicious lunch we wandered around in the old city. I love Bordeaux, the buildings are beyond amazing. We also went to a wine shop, they have an amazing collection! From cheap bottles to 2500 euro. The shop itself was beautiful, around the stairs were all the bottles all the way up. Pretty!

Hi dear readers,

Today is the day my brother gets married. Yeah, friday the 13th, strange date isn't it? But it's the day he met his wife-to-be years ago. So while I'm preparing for a lovely day, I'll show you pictures of Bordeaux, where I was two weeks ago.

It was a bright and sunny day, with temperatures above 30 degrees celcius. My pick up time was around 3.30PM, so I woke up early to walk around in this beautiful city. After hitting some shops I walked to the river empty-handed. I have this thing that I can't buy any clothes/accesoiries/anything else for the upcoming month and I'm still going strong :)

Anyway, I was sitting in front of this beautiful building enjoying the sun and a perrier. It was a lovely day in Bordeaux and I hope you like my pictures :)

And part II of my reserve duty week: Bordeaux, France. We arrived around noon in this beautiful, typical french city on the west side of France. The last time I spend a night in Bordeaux was a long, long time ago. Besides that, the times I've been there, I was either sick, it was raining or the stop was too short to go outside. But this time, I had the entire day to stroll around in this beautiful city. And when the rainclouds dissapeared, the weather was good enough to walk around with your coat open.

We started our day in Bordeaux with a nice lunch at Cafe Le Dijeaux where I had a sandwich 'italienne', which was really good. Combined with a glass of vine blanc, it was the perfect way to start a day. After the lunch we split up and I strolled through the small streets of bordeaux with my camera ready to snap beautiful pictures. I walked up to the river and back and enjoyed the vibe of this city. After a little bit of window shopping I went back to the hotel to meet up with the crew again, for some drinks and later on for the best dinner possible. We went to Pizzeria Peppone. Not just a regular pizzeria, no: one of the best in Bordeaux if you ask me. It opens at 7PM, but there is already a queue outside when you arrive. They have the best pizza's and pasta's, and don't forget to take a look in their wine cellar! Pretty amazing.

Last week I finally went back to Bordeaux. I love it when my work sends me to France: the food, the wine, the weather, the scenery! Just L O V E it. Unfortunately I had the 'early shift' in Bordeaux, which means: arriving early and leaving VERY early the next day (pick up time 4.50AM, eek!). But arriving early was not the case: we landed around 4.00PM so we went straight into the city center.

All my collegues are talking about a well known restaurant: the italian peppone. We decided to give it a try, eventhough it was a bit late for us. The restaurants in France usually open around 7PM, which is quite late if your alarmclock goes at 4AM the next morning. But we went for it and it was more than worth it. When we arrived at 6.50PM, there was already a queu outside, that's always a good sign! The food was delicious. We shared the starter: parmaham with parmazean(?) cheese and garlicbread with bacon. I had an ordinary pizza but it was actually extraordinary, soooo good! If you are in Bordeaux one day: definitely pay a visit to this amazing restaurant. They also have a wine cellar which you see when you go to the toilet. Expensive wines and parmahams everywhere! Such a foodie party!

Goodmorning dear readers!

And while your workweek is starting, mine actually ended. I just came back from a 4 day trip and this is my first day off.

It has been a while since my last post, and again I do apologize for that. I've been busy flying around, taking photographs for the blog and making my own jewelry. So lots of things comming up, I can't wait to show you!

So let's go back to this post: Bordeaux. I don't mind nightstopping in France, I love all our destinations. But Bordeaux is such a beautiful city. And unfortunately, I still haven't seen it all. Mostly because my nightstops were too short to discover the city, which is a shame. A whole year passed by and the only thing I discovered is the main square and the church. So next time, I will definitely go out!

And I just wanted to show you some pictures. Unfortunately without a nice story to tell. Just look at them, relax and imagine yourself drinking a lovely bordeaux at a sunny day in this beautiful french city.
