INTERIEUR: Mijn slaapkamer

Hoewel ik inmiddels alweer een tijd samenwoon met mijn vriend in Utrecht, slaap ik nog steeds ook bij mijn moeder en heb ik daar mijn oude kamer ook nog steeds. Mijn vriend vliegt ook en is daarom vaak weg. Op de dagen dat hij vliegt en ik thuis ben, ga ik vaak naar mijn moeder; gezellig en leuk! In het verleden heb ik mijn kamer al wel vaker laten zien, je kan hem onder andere hier, hier en hier zien. Ik zal binnenkort eens wat foto's van ons huisje in Utrecht laten zien. Maar voor nu; mijn kamer bij mijn moeder!

INTERIEUR: Our Christmas home in Utrecht

Welkom in ons Utrechtse huis in kerstsfeer! Vorig jaar, toen mijn vriend en ik nog niet officieel samenwoonden, deed ik al een poging om een kerstboom het huis binnen te brengen. Resultaat: de miniboom stond. Maar dit jaar moest het groter, beter en nog meer in kerstsfeer want ik houd van deze tijd van het jaar! Ik had zelf nog een budget nepboom van de Hema van enkele jaren geleden (was ooit 15 euro). In de loop der jaren heb ik een hoop mooie ornamenten verzameld welke ik vooral ná kerst heb gekocht (want; goedkoop). De ballen en versiersels komen bij de action, loods5 en andere interieurzaken en tuincentra's vandaan. Kijk snel mee naar ons kersthuis!

Welcome in our cute home in the citycenter of Utrecht, completely turned into a christmas house. Last year, when the boy and I weren't living together yet, I made an attempt to bring in a christmas tree. Result: it was teenie tiny, but it was there! The minitree! But this year it had to be bigger, better and even more in a christmas vibe than the year before. A few years ago I bought a budget christmas tree at Hema (15 euro). And within a couple of years I got a nice collection of christmas ornaments from basically everywhere; luxury design stores and budget stores such as action. Anyway, no more chitchat but picture time! Hope you enjoy our christmashome!

INTERIEUR: Walk in closet

For today a sneak preview of my bedroom. I organized and refurnished it a bit, and my walk in closet is also on the list to be 'pimped'. Most of you already know it, but I still live at home, with my mum. I actually have 2 bedrooms: one big one and a smaller one for my clothes. Recently I bought some new things which I would like to show you.

I bought my white bed with the little heart secondhand, I truly love it! It's super gorgeous and looks amazing in front of the turqouise wall. The picture with the text is from Action, a cheap dutch store. My desk is from Ikea and most of the other items are thrifted (the chair for example, just 5 euros, it's a design chair!) or from the 'Action'.

INTERIEUR: Organize your dresser

Today I'm going to do something quite unusual: I'm going to show you the inside of my dresser and how I keep my drawers organized. Let me start with this ikea dresser which was just an ordinary white dresser, which I pimped it with some quotes and it looks so much better now! My own -cheap- version of a rivera maison (gosh I love that brand) dresser! If you would like to see my previous interior posts, please click here.

While the first drawer is filled with tanktops, sportgear and sleepwear and is basically not very organised, I'll show you the second drawer which is for my bra's and panties. I bought the white organizers at Ikea, very cheap and extremely useful! On the left hand side you see my bra's, color organized. This is the way to stow your bra's people! Don't fold them! On the right hand side you see my folded underwear. Regular hipsters/briefs in the top one, and thongs underneath.

And in the third and also last drawer I keep my bikini's and socks :-) I've folded the tops and put them in the right box and in the left box you see the swimwear bottoms. These organizers are the best! I really like to mix and match my swimwear so I didn't care about stowing tops and bottoms together.

INTERIEUR: Mijn kamer

Welcome to my organized chaos! Just a few snapshots from my room. Maybe you've seen my room before? But I changed some of the details and wanted to show it again. I'm living with my mum -again-, as some of you already know. I used to live in Haarlem, which was also a lot of fun but too small and too expensive. This is just my bedroom, I've got a seperate room/walk in closet for my clothes and other stuff.

My next project will be re-organizing my walk in closet. Some fresh new paint and some new closets. Will show you a post soon!

For big plans you need time, and not to forget: money. I don't have both of them. So my big plans are for the future, I had to put them aside. And while I'm saving money to buy my own house next year (they're giving young people a hard time here in the Netherlands when you want to buy a house), I decided to give my room an update.

Welcome to my cleaned chaos. :)

When you want to see the previous state of my precious built-on-a-very-tight-budget "walk in closet", click here. And in these couple of months has happend a lot. I've lived for about 8 months in Haarlem on my own. Now back at my mum's house because I need to save money. So with moving back myself, I had a very nice suprise for my mum: even more clothes than before. Which had to be stored. And so we went to Ikea to buy another and bigger clothing rack (only 20 euro people, that's not very expensive!). During my time in Haarlem I got a small closet from a neighbour, and this one is perfect for jeans and shorts. I already got a different version of it (also ikea). So I put them next to eachother. One for my pants/jeans/shorts/whatever and one for my tops.

Home sweet home is what it is, right? Our house is feeling more like a home day by day. And I can honestly say we're almost done. Only some work left at the second floor where the bedrooms are located.

By the way, what do you think of my new hairdo? Went to the hairdresser a couple of days ago, I was ready for something new. I decided I wanted my bangs/fringes back and here they are! I'm pretty pleased I've got them back (already had a fringe about 8 months ago), what do you think?

Finally! After three days of extremely hard work, I'm almost done! I moved to Haarlem and together with a colleague I'm renting a house in the middle of the citycenter! That's also why I wasn't able to update the blog. But I'm back, sort off. ;) Picture comming soon!

One of my other passions is home decoration and interior. Since I still live at home I can't express myself that much. But there are serious plans when it comes to living on my own. I'm already looking around for furniture, but for now I can only buy the decoration. And when it comes to decoration, my favorite place is Loods 5. For the dutchies amoung us: you really should go to loods 5 one day! It's such a fantastic shop! Everything you see above (decoration) is from loods 5.

Een van mijn passies is interieur en decoratie. Aangezien ik nog steeds thuis woon kan ik mijzelf daar nog niet heel erg in uitleven. Maar er zijn dus serieuze plannen om op mezelf te gaan wonen en daarom ben ik al aan het rondkijken naar meubelen. Voor nu houd ik het alleen bij decoratie. Alles wat je hierboven ziet aan decoratie is van loods 5. Ik zou jullie zeker aanraden om eens een bezoekje te brengen aan loods 5, het is echt een geweldige winkel!

INTERIEUR: Olivia Palermo

While browsing the internet, I love to look for interior tips. And since I'm a huge fan of Olivia Palermo (her style, not particular her behavior in the city though, but I think she's really nice in real life) I wanted to show you her old appartment in Tribeca. What do you think of it? I could definitely move in there! Love her place!
