Inspiration and giveaway: Beadies

I'm sorry for my english readers, this giveaway is for my dutch readers only! However, when you're in Amsterdam or Utrecht, don't forget to visit the beads and jewellery store Beadies. It's jewellery heaven, also for the DIY queens amoung us. Eventhough this will be a dutch post, I hope you enjoy the photos of the beautiful store.

Degene die mijn blog al wat langer volgen weten waarschijnlijk dat ik behoorlijk gek ben op het zelf maken van sieraden. Ik doe het echt al ontzettend lang, sinds de basisschool eigenlijk, waar ik ook mijn zelfgemaakte kunstwerkjes weer doorverkocht. De laatste drie jaar pak ik het iets professioneler aan; ik koop al mijn materiaal bij beadies in Amsterdam of in Utrecht, dé kralen en sieraden winkel voor DIY queens. Ze hebben zulke mooie spullen, ik spendeer altijd wel een uur in de winkel om de mooiste items uit te zoeken. Overigens verkopen ze niet alleen equipment maar ook prachtige sieraden. En de winkel, dat is gewoon een droom: zo gaaf ingericht!

One of my new years resolutions was and still is to be more active and to start working out again. And today I found amazing inspiration in my inbox from Hunkemöller. It was just so cute I had to share it with you guys. Because cute workout clothes makes it a lot easier to drag yourself to the gym, right? I love the entire collection and while I usually don't make a post about one specific shop, I couldn't resist when I recieved the photos. Hunkemöller offers a wide variety of sexy and functional workout clothing: leggings, shorts, jackets, yoga pants and tops in the lovely colors lightpink, mint green and grey. Inspiration: Christmas outfits blogger style

Kerst komt er weer aan, dat betekend glitters, pailettjes, zwart, zilver en heel veel super mooie items in de winkels. Maar wat moet JIJ nou dragen met kerst? Ikzelf ben er nog niet helemaal uit, vandaar dat ik mijn inspiratie heb gezocht bij andere bloggers en een mooie wishlisht erbij heb gemaakt. Word het dan toch die pailettenbroek, die mooie strakke bodycon jurk of een glitterrokje met een trui? Gelukkig hebben we twee kerstdagen waarbij we onze mooiste outfits kunnen laten zien en dus ook kunnen afwisselen! Christmas is around the corner, that means glitters, sequins, black, silver and alot of beautiful items in the shops. But what do YOU want to wear during christmas? Personally I'm not completely sure, therefor I was looking for some inspiration and the best way to do that is by reading fashion blogs! I made a nice wishlist as well, so it's easy to find the thing you like! Is it going to be that sequin legging, that beautiful bodycon dress or a cute skirt with a sweater? Thank goodness we have two days of christmas in the Netherlands, so we can pick two outfits we like!


De eerste inspiratie is van de finse blogger Marianna: altijd stijlvol, een prachtig meisje en ze maakt zulke mooie foto's! Ik ben fan! Zij vertegenwoordigd echt de all-scandinavian style met simpele maar prachtige items op een goede manier gecombineerd. Haar mooiste look vind ik dan ook dit glitter rokje, een zwarte panty en een heerlijke cosy trui. Maar ook haar groene bodycon pailetten jurkje is echt om bij weg te dromen! Daarnaast draagt Marianna altijd prachtige, naturelle make up.

My first inspiration is finnish fashion blogger Marianna: always classy, a beautiful girl and she takes gorgeous photo's! I am a huge fan of her blog. I think she represents a true scandinavian style with her simpel but beautiful items combined in the most stylish ways. Her prettiest christmas look is the sequin skirt with black tights and a beautiful cosy sweater. But I also love her green sequin dress as well!


Mijn tweede favoriete blogger is de prachtige Amerikaanse Barefoot Blonde. Niet alleen heeft zij prachtig blond haar, maar ook nog eens een fantastische stijl. Heel vrouwelijk, kleurrijk en vooral erg amerikaans. Hoe leuk is haar pailetten broek met de zwarte trui met rode mondjes? Super cute en perfect voor kerst! Draag er een paar mooie hakken onder en you're good to go! Ze heeft overigens onlangs een super schattig zoontje gekregen en styled hem ook geweldig. Hebben jullie haar haar-tutorials al eens gezien? Voor mij is zij echt een grote inspiratie bron zowel qua uiterlijk als met haar kleding. Love her!

My second favorite blogger is the beautiful American Barefoot Blonde. Not only has she got beautiful blonde hair, but her style is pretty awesome too. Very feminine, colorful and ofcourse all american. How cute is her sequin legging combined with a black sweater with lips? It's pretty perfect for christmas! Wear your highest black heels and you're good to go! She recently gave birth to a gorgeous boy and makes him wear the cutest and most adorable outfits. Have you seen her hair tutorials already? She is a huge inspiration to me, not only her appearance but her clothing and style as well. Love her!

En hierbij dan mijn ultieme kerst 2014 wishlisht! Combineer een mooi bodycon jurkje met een goede panty, zwarte of zilverkleurige high heels en maak het af met een statement clutch. Daarnaast kan rode lippenstift en een heerlijk luchtje natuurlijk niet ontbreken. Andere optie is natuurlijk een sequin rokje met daarop een trui met een knipoog naar de kerst. Ik ga voor zwart, zilver, metallic en pailletten. De jurk, trui, het rokje, de clutch en de heels zijn van Esprit. De grijze top met applicatie is van Hema en de rode lipstick van Mac komt van de Douglas. Maak je kerst look af met een heerlijk luchtje. Mijn ultieme favoriet is de parfum van Dior want; fris, klassiek en stijlvol. Ook deze kan je kopen bij Douglas. Hoe ziet jouw kerst 2014 wishlist eruit? Voor welke look ga jij?

Een kleine herfst/winter inspiratiepost vandaag! Onlangs ontdekte ik de webshop van Van Tilburg Online, en ik was blij verrast! Normaal gesproken bestel ik redelijk weinig online, maar bij VTO word je bestelling de volgende dag al gratis(!) geleverd (mits voor 15.00 uur besteld) en dat is erg handig! Mocht je niet genoeg inspiratie hebben dan kan je kijken bij het modeadvies of bij één van de vele trendrubrieken van de webshop. Just a small autumn/winter inspiration post today! Recently I discovered a new webshop, Van Tilburg Online, and I was pleasantly suprised. Usually I don't order too much online, since I find it a bit of a hassle. But at VTO your clothes will be delivered already the next day (if you order before 3PM), and the delivery is for free! Inspiration: Festival wear

Het festival seizoen is in volle gang en daarom leek het mij leuk om wat outfit inspiratie te posten voor de aankomende party's. Wanneer je naar een festival gaat kan een leuk paar enkellaarsjes niet ontbreken, want wie wilt er nou dansen in het gras met hoge hakken? Daarnaast zijn enkellaarsjes op zoveel verschillende manieren te combineren: met een lief jurkje, distressed skinny jeans of gewoon onder je vintage levi's 501. Persoonlijk houd ik ervan on mijn enkellaarsjes met een floral jurkje te combineren: comfortabel en stoer!

The festival season is still going strong and I figured that it might be fun to show some cute outfits for the nice upcoming outdoor parties. When going to a festival one must wear some nice ankle boots, because who can dance on grass in high heels? And you can combine these ankle boots in so many different ways: with a dress, some distressed skinnyjeans or ofcourse underneath your vintage levi's 501. Personally I love to combine ankle boots with dresses and find it very comfortable and cute.


What to wear when it rains cats and dogs?
Warm jezelf op met een leuke khaki of groene trenchcoat/parka of een mooi spijkerjasje of leren jack. Nog steeds koud? Draag een paar dikke zwarte panty's onder je dress of je high waisted shorts om het wat aangenamer te maken. En je enkellaarsjes kan je vervangen voor een paar plastic (of misschien mooie dure hunter) regenlaarzen wanneer het heel modderig is. Natuurlijk is een paraplu essentieel en ook nog eens leuk om te delen en zo nieuwe mensen te ontmoeten.

Cover yourself up with cute khaki or green trenchcoats/parka's or a nice denim or leather jacket. Still cold? Wear some thick tights underneath your dress or high waisted shorts to make it more comfortable. And change your cute little ankleboots for a pair of plastic (or fancy hunter) rainboots when it's all muddy and stuff. Ofcourse don't forget to bring your umbrella, also nice to share and meet other people :)

What to wear when it's bright and sunny? Niet al te moeilijk, toch? Eigenlijk alle zomerse outfitjes zijn goed. Een schattig jurkje met enkellaarsjes, vintage levi's 501 met een cropped top, een flowy rokje met een gebreide trui, alles kan! Vergeet niet om je haar wat op te fleuren met bijvoorbeeld een flower crown (DIY?) of een floppy hoed. Als een cover up zou je een floral kimono of een loszittende cardigan kunnen dragen, wat je wilt! Ik vind persoonlijk een floral kimono erg leuk met een cropped top, maar een kimono staat ook super op een leuk strak jurkje!

This one is not too difficult, anything summerish will do. A cute dress with boots, vintage levi's 501 with a loose top, a flowly skirt with a knitted sweater, anything! Don't forget to add cool hairpieces such as a flower crown (DIY?) or a floppy hat. As a cover up you can use a floral kimono or a flowly cardigan. Whatever you prefer. I usually wear a kimono together with a cropped top. But a kimono will also work when combined with a cute dress.

Inspiration: Wear wedges like Lauren Conrad

Lauren Conrad is een van mijn grootste bronnen van inspiratie als het gaat om het zoeken naar de perfecte outfit. Sierlijke jurkjes, mooie skinnyjeans en prachtige tops: LC heeft het allemaal. Nog een ding wat mij opviel aan haar outfits is dat ze vaak op hoge hakken loopt en dan ook vooral veel op super leuke wedges.

Lauren combineerd haar wedges op veel verschillende manieren maar de leukste vind ik toch wel onder een maxi jurk of onder een schattig jurkje! Wedges zijn ook ideaal in de zomer, heerlijk luchtig en toch stabiel. Zelf loop ik niet heel vaak op hoge hakken: vooral buiten blijf je vaak achter de stenen hangen met je hak en daarnaast kan het best instabiel zijn. Dan zijn wedges toch wel echt een uitkomst! And one thing which I noticed while looking at her outfits is that she really likes her high heels and especially a lot of super cute wedges.

Lauren combines her wedges in many different ways, but my favorite is the combination with a maxi dress of a cute dress. Wedges are pretty perfect during the summer season: they are open and comfortable. I don't wear high heels very often: especially when you are outside high heels are not comfortable since you can get stuck while walking. Wedges are the answer to me. Vandaag opnieuw een inspiratiepost. Back in the days, toen ik nog op school zat, had ik een paar favoriete sneakers: mijn zwarte allstars. Hoe meer afgetrapt ze waren, hoe beter. Ik heb er zes jaar lang op gelopen, dag in dag uit, tot het echt niet meer ging.

Ook nu ben ik nog steeds groot liefhebber van Converse. Ik heb een paar witte en een paar zwarte, welke je echt overal mee kan combineren. Je hebt ze al in veel outfitposts voorbij zien komen, maar er zijn nog veel meer opties om deze sneakers mee te combineren. Daarom hieronder heel veel inspiratie foto's van leuke outfits met heerlijk comfortabele en stoere allstars.

Mix deze schoenen met een lief jurkje voor een stoere twist, of juist onder skinnyjeans. Maar je kan ze natuurlijk ook onder een je shorts of rokje dragen. Echt alles is mogelijk en het geeft elke outfit net dat edgy randje. Hebben jullie ook allstars? En zoja, welke kleuren?

Today a new inspiration post. Back in the days, when I was in highschool, I had a pair of favoriete sneakers: my black allstars. The more dirty and worn they were, the better. I walked on them for more than six years, day after day, untill there was not much left of them.

And right now I'm still a huge fan of Converse. I own a pair of low white ones and black allstars, which you can combine in many, many ways. You already noticed them in many of my outfit posts but there are alot more options to wear these comfortable sneakers. That's why I have a lot of inspirational photos for you to make great outfits with these cool converse allstars.

Mix your shoes with a sweet dress for a cool twist or combine them with a skinnyjeans. Ofcourse you can also wear them with shorts or skirt. Everything is possible and allstars do spice up your outfit and make it a bit more edgy! Do you own allstars as well, which colors?

Inspiration: a secret love for Vans

Hi allemaal!

Toen ik mijn beste vriendin zag met een paar supercoole Vans, werd ik er stiekem een beetje verliefd op. Ik behoorde vroeger tot de selecte groep van 'skaters' op de middelbare school. Er werd niet veel geskate, vooral veel gehangen en eigenlijk deden we erg weinig op zo'n dag, haha! Mijn vrienden droegen allemaal skatebroeken en Vans, dat was zo'n tien jaar geleden.

Terwijl ik met die lieve mensen die ik als mijn skatervrienden had bestempeld veel rondhing droeg ik zelf eigenlijk nooit 'skaterkleding': geen baggy jeans noch Vans. Het was eigenlijk allemaal te duur op die leeftijd. Ik was namelijk een tiener met een passie voor paarden(dure hobby) dus ik had heel weinig geld. Maar altijd heb ik al van sneakers gehouden en dan vooral Vans. Nog steeds spendeer ik zeer weinig geld aan schoenen maar zo'n twee weken geleden kwam mijn droom dan eindelijk uit: ik kocht mijn allereerste paar Vans, Era's om precies te zijn. Voor mij is het uitgeven van 50 tot 100 euro voor een paar schoenen wel redelijk duur, (ik ben een kringloper, remember?) maar ik kan eerlijk zeggen dat mijn Vans elke euro meer dan waard zijn.

Ik vind Vans super cool en ben echt helemaal verliefd op mijn zwart/grijze Era's. En er staan nog veel meer mooie, kleurrijke Vans op mijn verlanglijstje! Daarom wil ik jullie dan ook wat inspiratie laten zien, is dat niet Vantastisch? Ik vond trouwens ook een echt te gekke webshop: Pro-Shoes met een zeer uitgebreide collectie sneakers. Weet je trouwens wat ik ook vandaag bedacht? Dat het echt super cool is als je samen met je vriendje dezelfde Vans draagt! Ze zijn echt te gek voor beiden en ik kan niet wachten tot mijn vriendje ook een paar Era's koopt, dan kan hij zijn outfit matchen met die van mij. Hij is ook al groot fan en heeft een paar old-school blauwe Vans, welke je terug kan vinden in een van onze vele Thailand posts. Genoeg gekletst, laten we overgaan op wat inspiratie!

Hi ya'll

Ever since I saw one of my best friends wearing Vans, I secretly developed a crush on them. I used to be one of the 'skater kids' in highschool, you know. Not much skating involved though, more hanging around and basically doing nothing all day. My friends all wore baggy jeans and Vans, and that was something like 10 years ago.

While I was just hanging around with my skaterfriends, I never wore baggy jeans nor Vans. It was all too expensive back in the days. Keep in mind that I was a teenager with a passion for horsebackriding (expensive hobby I must confess) and thus a lack of money! But I always loved sneakers and Vans in general. I still don't spend a lot of money on shoes but two weeks ago a dream came true: I bought my very first pair of Era's! To me, spending 50 to 100 euros on shoes is a bit expensive (I'm a thriftshopper, remember?), but I can honestly say that they are worth every penny!

I consider Vans as very cool and I especially love my black/grey Era's. There are already many more on my wishlist and therefor I would like to show you some cool inspiration, isn't that Vantastic? And I also discovered a really cool webshop: Pro-Shoes with a wide variety of sneakers. And you know something really awesome that I just realised today? You AND your boyfriend can match outfits wearing the same Vans! They are super cool for both of you, and I can't wait for my boyfriend to buy an awesome colored pair of Era's. He's a fan as well and already owns some really cool old school blue colored Vans, which you can see in one of our many Thailand posts. Well, 'nuff said about Vans, here is some cool inspiration :)

Olivia Palermo's Maasai project

For today an inspiring video by Olivia Palermo. I'm in Kristiansand today, it's freezing cold, snowing and I didn't bring my comfortable winter jacket. So I'm not going outside today (really wanted to take some pictures though). Besides that, my mini laptop broke down yesterday, the screen was flickering and you couldn't identify the start up button. But it's back alive today, fingers crossed it will work tomorrow as well! Inspiration: Models off duty

It has been a while since my last models off duty post, but since spring is -almost- around the corner, I think it's time for some brand new inspirations by the girls which I admire the most. It's where I get my idea's for outfits from and I personally think that models do a good job when it comes to their personal style. They see the trends before we do, so why not seek for inspiration? But they look good in everything though...

I have a complete week off (annual leave), which is like totally amazing! I'm not going anywhere, I'm saving money for my big trip in may/june to Thailand with a friend. But spending time at home is not that bad right now, I have finally time to update my blog. What do you think of my new header? This one is going to stay, promise! And I'm going to make business cards, so I really hope you like it! Besides updating my blog, I'm also updating my room. Cleaning, selling clothes, organizing,... yeah lot's of stuff to do.

H&M Conscious Collection 2013

H&M did it again: they let me fall in love with the conscious collection again! I'm a huge fan of the conscious collection since the very first collection. And every spring I can't wait to see what they came up with! And now together with the beautiful and lovely Vanessa Paradis (gosh I love her songs from back in the days).

My favorite piece and absolute must-buy is the greenish jacket and the shorts. Think they are both perfect for the summer when your skin is sunkissed and the temperatures are above 20 degrees. The clothes are all eco-friendly, pretty perfect, don't you think so? Visit the H&M shops (or online) in march!

Gotta love Isabel Marant

Things that brighten up my day are -besides reading your comments- recieving packages from the postman, filled with something I've been craving for. After dreaming, thinking, wishing and hoping for them, they are mine... finally! Not after saving a sh*tload of money, but after searching the entire world wide web, I finally found them. For just 35 euros including shipping. And no, of course they are not 'real' isabel marant dicker boots, but I think my knock offs look pretty good as well. Must say, that I'm not usually a person who buys knock off designer stuff. But I don't have the money for real dicker boots and that I don't want to spend that much of money on shoes or clothing in general. So this was a good and cheap solution (I'm sorry isabel marant...) to buy the boots I absolutely adore and was dreaming about for such a long time!

Maybe I'm a bit late, maybe they are not 'in fashion' anymore, but I simply don't care. I think these boots look great during winter and summer, with trousers and skirts. With cute knits and light dresses. I think they look amazing with every single piece I have in my wardrobe! And I can't wait to wear them! I'm almost afraid to wear them, hoping they stay beautiful. But they are not here just to look at. I hope to show you some outfits soon!
