After an 11 hour flight without any sleep, we finally arrived in Bangkok. We were lucky enough to get an upgrade to economy comfort, with plenty of legspace but I still find it difficult to sleep on board an airplane.
We didn't had a lot of time during our first day in Bangkok but we made the most out of it. We took a tuktuk into town and had a lovely diner at the riverside where we also took some pictures. We went to bed early because of the jetlag and headed north the next day. Will tell you more soon, hope you enjoy my pictures!
Since I work as a flight attendant, I could enjoy the landing from the cockpit, what a view! Amazing airplane, the boeing 777! We landed around 9.30 in the morning (local time in Thailand) and went directly to our hotel. Everything is easy-peasy in Bangkok. We took the train directly from the airport to the station close to our hotel. This was cheap, comfortable and super easy. I would highly recommend everyone using the train from the airport to the citycenter. The Thai people do speak english and are willing to help you if necessary.
The hotel in Bangkok
We booked our hotel in Bangkok upfront, to make it more easier upon arrivel. Our hotel, the Prom Ratchada Residence, was located in a nice neighbourhood and was clean and comfortable. We spend around 30 euros for one night, so 15 euro per person and breakfast was included.

ReplyDelete@Josianne: Ja heb mijn -mini- laptop mee :) Laat hem gewoon in de kamer idd, niet eens in een kluis ofzo. Meeste plekken hebben hier internet, hallelujah :)
